Rhode Island Tercentenary Issue
The Washington Post Office, (Coventry Township, Kent County) was first established as the Coventry Post Office on January 19, 1827 with Oliver G. Wilbur as Postmaster. The name of the Post Office was changed to Washington on February 27, 2026 under Postmaster Walter A. Kilton. The name was changed back to Coventry on November 1, 1951.
