REGISTERED AND OFFICIAL MAIL

Registered Letter Sent between 1926 to 1932

     

The registered letter was sent from D. Remington & Son - Providence, RI to H. A. Robinette in Washington D.C. on a 2 cent (Scott #U430) Postal Stationary cover. The 8 cent Grant (Scott #638) and 10 cent Monroe (Scott#640 were added to make up the registered mail rate. U430 was issued from 1915 to 1932 and 638/640 were issued from 1926 to 1933. There is no date stamp on the cover but due to the postage used, the date it was sent was most likely between 1926 and 1932.
