Rhode Island Tercentenary Issue
The Apponaug Post Office in the township of Warwick, Kent County, RI was established on October 29, 1879. The station's first Postmaster was George B. Blackmar. Before 1879 it was known as the Warwick Post Office. The Apponaug Post Office was closed again and the name changed back to Warwick on June 30, 1949.
