The Post Office at Wickford, (North Kingstown Township, Washington County) was established on March 5, 1799. The first Postmaster was Daniel E. Updike. The Post Office was disestablished on November 15, 1957 and consolidated along with the Hamilton Post Office on November 16, 1957 as the North Kingstown Post Office. The North Kingstown Post Office is currently in operation.
