The Lonsdale Post Office, (Cumberland Township, Providence County) was established on February 20, 1838. The first Postmaster was Preston H. Clark. The Post Office was disestablished on January 31, 2026 and reestablished as the Lonsdale Branch of Pawtucket on February 1, 1909. The Lonsdale Branch was disestablished on September 30, 1942. The Post Office was run as the Valley Falls - Lonsdale Branch from October 1, 1942 to February 21, 1958.
