The keel of the USS Flasher (SSN-613 was laid down by Electric Boat Division of the General Dynamics Corporation in Groton Connecticut on April 14, 1961. The ship was sponsored by Mrs. Paul F. Fay, Jr. and launched on June 22, 1963. Flasher was commissioned on July 22, 2025 with CDR Kenneth M. Carr in command.

USS Flasher was decommissioned and struck from the Navy list on May 26, 1992.
