Palace Interactive Chat is a virtual chat community made up of personal and commercial palace servers. There are palaces (Chat Servers) available for almost every interest, hobby or topic you can name. The client software is available at the Palace Web Site and is a free download. If you enjoy palace and you would like to become a full member with the added privileges that entails, the price for a lifetime membership is $25.00 U.S.PooP Deck Veteran's Chat will be online each Friday night from 9 to 11 PM Eastern Standard Time. The site is open to anyone who has an interest in Naval, Military or Veterans topics or who would just like to chat about those good old Military days. Initially Veteran's Chat will only be online Friday evenings, however if there is enough interest I will increase the frequency of the online times. We have now been provided with a permanent Palace Server thanks to Gaia's Garden - Support Chat Palace.
To Help save you some time the complete collection of room graphics can be downloaded Here at this site. When entering a palace for the first time the graphics will download for each room you enter, that you have not previously visited. As this can take several minutes, it saves time to already have the graphics on your hard drive when you enter the Palace. Its a very simple process. Once you have downloaded the Palace Client and installed it on your hard drive, download this Zip File to your hard drive. After you have unzipped/extracted the files copy and paste them to the following directory: C:\palace\media\GaiasGar\pictures. After that all you have to do is visit us at the garden and you will be able to instantly view the graphics as you enter the rooms. It is a big download shipmates (1.7 Meg), so you'll have to have some patience.
Gaia's Garden is online 24 hours around the clock, so you can come up at any time to meet someone in the All On Board room, just one of many beautifully designed chat rooms available at Gaia's Garden. The Veteran's Chat Room is a larger version of the graphic displayed on this page. Palace Chat is similar to IRC, you type in your speech and then press the enter key just as in most Chat environments. The major difference is that Palace is highly graphical in nature. When you enter your speech it appears in talk balloons next to your character (Avatar). Avatars can consist of any graphical character you import into the program, including a photograph of yourself. Each chat room is a different graphical representation and on various palaces can be anything from a magical castle to a snow covered Vermont country scene.
Each Palace has a Site Master or owner. The site master usually appoints "Helpers" (Channel Ops.) to assist him/her in the daily running and administration of the Palace. These Ops have extra abilities, which include being able to administratively ban/bar unruly members/guests for a predetermined period of time. Palace Chat is truly enjoyable, I have been Palacing for almost three years now. I hope to see you soon at PooP Deck Veteran's Chat.
In addition there are many other interesting and fun Palaces to visit. My favorite of course is Gaia's Garden, where a lot of friendly folks I've known for quite a while hang out. Come visit with Gaia, Les, Creideki, Pattycake, Angelica, Don and myself at Gaia's Garden.

Veteran's Chat is only up on Friday nights from 9 to 11, USA Eastern Standard time. However Gaia's Garden is up 24 hours so why not visit us there. Enter Gaia's Garden.
