- A Sailor's Letter - Amoy, China 1939 For this weeks feature article, I offer you something a little different. After my father, QMC USN Ret. Wendell Tucker, passed away, I came across an interesting letter from a buddy of his. The letter was addressed from Kulang Island, an international treaty port, at a time when the Japanese occupied Amoy just across the harbor. If your a naval or WWII history buff you will find it fascinating, I did! |
