History of the Providence Automated
Post Office & Intelex Cancels

June 26, 1967 Senator John O. Pastore
Personal Letter on Senate Stationary
Acknowledgement of Condolences
Death of Senator's mother - Signed Letter

There were 12 commemorative stamps, 1 definitive stamp, and 5 postal stationary items relating to Rhode Island issued after 1951. The first was the Automated Providence Post Office issue of 1960.

Our home was originally in Newport, but we moved across the bay, (Narragansett) to Saunderstown in 1956. The area we lived in contained many historic sites and I will be introducing you to some of them on these pages.

These include; Gilbert Stuart's birthplace (Snuff Mill), the Casey and Hazard historic farms, the oldest church meeting house in Western Rhode Island, old lighthouses, and the many historic homes and churches located in Wickford and Narragansett.
