Pointing Finger (Recipient Deceased)

The cover is franked with the 6 cent Carmine "Twin Motored Transport Plane" Scott #C25 issued on June 25, 1941. The pointing finger marking shown on this cover was used with several different text messages during the mid 20th century. This one reads "Return to Sender." This cover also bears a notation from Captain F. L. Novack; Captain Infantry that the recipient is deceased.
