Air Mail Route AM1 to Washington, DC

The "First Flight" cover above was sent from Providence, RI to Washington, DC on August 6, 1932. It is franked with with two "olive-brown 1/2 cent Nathan Hale" definitives, (Scott #551 - issued 1922-25) and a "7 cent black Washington Bicentennial Issue" (Scott #712 - issued January 1, 1932). The cover has a "Via Air Mail Arrow" gummed label on the face and a boxed Air Mail hand-stamp on the reverse.
