The "First Flight" cover above was sent from Providence, RI to Washington, DC on August 6, 1932. It is franked with with two "olive-brown^1/2 cent Nathan Hale" definitives, (Scott #551 - issued 1922-25) and a "7 cent black Washington Bicentennial Issue" (Scott #712 - issued January 1, 1932). The cover has a "Via Air Mail Arrow" gummed label on the face and a boxed Air Mail hand-stamp on the reverse.
