Opening of the Rhode Island State Airport
Warwick, Rhode Island on September 26, 1931

This cover celebrates the opening of Rhode Island State Airport. (It's located in West Warwick.) The airport had an official name change a few years ago in honor of General Nathaniel Greene and is now known as Greene International Airport. The stamp is the 5 cent Winged Globe issued on February 10, 1930 and is Scott #C12.
