Arnold Numismatic Company 1909 Post Card |
|
This item is a
fascinating bit of Philatelic and Numismatic history. The
Arnold Numismatic Company
is asking for a price quote from a printer in Belvedere, IL for 1000
ea. of the two labels on the reverse of the card. I also found the
price list to be of particular interest having collected coins in my
past. The quoted prices for a "3 dollar gold piece" at $4.50 or for 25
"large U.S. Cents" for $1.00 seem almost unbelievable given today's
inflated prices. (Scroll down for
back of card)
The Flag cancel is also of interest - Elmwood
Station was a sub-station of the main Providence Post Office and one
of the harder to find cancels.
