S.W. Coggeshall Hardware - Newport, RI - 1932

Commercial cover from S.W. Coggeshall, a Newport, RI hardware dealer. What makes this cover so interesting to me is that Mr. Coggeshall lived in the house right behind ours when we lived in Newport from 1951 to 1956. Although long retired, he was still quite active. Mr. Coggeshall had a large Rhubarb patch in his backyard. When I was between 5 and 7 years old; I and several other hooligans  used to raid "Old Man Coggeshall's" Rhubarb Patch on a regular basis. Of course we frequently got caught and earned a good whipping  from our parents.
