Rhode Island Illustrated Event Covers
100th Anniversary of Providence Postmaster's Provisionals

These are two very nice covers were produced by the Rhode Island Philatelic Society and commemorate the 100th anniversary of the 5 and 10 cent Providence Postmaster's Provisionals which were issued on August 24, 1846. Reprints were made from the same plates in 1898.
