Panama Canal 25th Anniversary issue, (Scott
#s 120, 121, and 122) issued on August
15, 1939. The scenes depicted are, "Balboa
Before," "Balboa After"
and "Gaillard Cut Before."
The Colors respectively are: yellow-green,
rose-carmine and purple.
The stamps are tied by two oval Balboa Heights
cancels and one Balboa Heights
Circular Date Stamp, (CDS).
The 1930 Providence Census
lists a John Lawlor as born in 1907
and living with his mother. It lists his occupation
as Jewelry Manufacturer. The family
origin is listed as Irish Free State.
