This Post Card is Number 3 of a set of 4 addressed to Donna Seerist  of Muscatine, Iowa from Mrs. Carl Bowman.  It was sent using the 1 cent - Four Freedoms Issue of 1943. All four postcards in this set were mailed using the Four Freedoms stamp. 

During the late 19th century and early 20th century Wickford became known as a premier Summer Vacation area and the Cold Spring House was one of several inns built to cater to the summer visitors. The Cold Spring House was built in 1881 by Thomas C. Pierce and is still in use today; primarily for civic functions.
