Rhode Island Picture Post Cards
The Old North Kingstown Library - Wickford, Rhode Island
Nr. 2  in a set of 4 Postcards from Mrs. Carl Bowman mailed in 1944
(Scroll Down for Background Information)

This Post Card is Number 2 of a set of 4 addressed to Donna Seerist  of Muscatine, Iowa from Mrs. Carl Bowman.  It was sent using the 1 cent - Four Freedoms Issue of 1943. All four postcards in this set were mailed using the Four Freedoms stamp.

The Old North Kingstown Library was located on Brown Street on the east side. It was built in the Greek Revival style. I'm not sure of the date. I was a member of the library while a student at North Kingstown High and spent many hours inside this building. The old library has since been replaced by a larger and more modern structure located on Boone Street which is situated just before the Wickford Grammar School, (1st to 5th grades).
