Betsy Williams is a direct descendent of Roger Williams. The Cottage was built in 1785. Betsy donated the first 100 acres for the Roger Williams Park.

The Postcard was sent from Jes Wright in Pascoag to Mr. Ed Franklin in Torrington, Connecticut. The message states:
"Say. Ed. I
will not be up until Monday night late
so you please arrange it until and oblige fortously
