Rhode Island Picture Post Cards
Fox Point Steamer Landing - Providence, Rhode Island
Two Narragansett Bay Steamers -
Rhode Island and Pilgrim

The Steamer Pilgrim on the right was owned by the Fall River Line. She was launched in 1883 and was 390 feet in overall length. The smaller steamer on the left was the Rhode Island. She was launched in the 1870s and owned by the Stonington Line. The Post Card was canceled and sent in 1919. I am not sure of the time period depicted in the picture. I did find out that a side wheeler named Rhode Island went aground and was wrecked in 1880
