The Foster Center Post Office, (Foster Township, Providence County) was first established on March 6, 1848 as "Foster Centre" under Postmaster Robert Beattie. It was disestablished on December 14, 1905 and reopened as the Foster Center Post Office on September 25, 1906. The Post Office was closed for the final time on July 1, 1961. Mail is now handled by the Foster Post Office, which was established on July 1, 1961.
