By far, the most prolific producer of Rhode Island
Tercentenary covers was John B. Kilton. Kilton was a Rhode
Island stamp dealer and the
Secretary-Treasurer of the Rhode Island Philatelic Society in 1936. Kilton
produced 13 different cachet varieties and cancels from all 109 existing
Rhode Island Post Offices and the 5 Ship and Railroad
(RPO)
cancels.
