The Air Mail cover above was sent on December 15, 1956 from "Pole Station, Antarctica" to Mr. W. E. Collins in Hope Valley, Rhode Island. The Stamp is the "6 cent deep-orange James Garfield" Rotary Press Coil issue of August 18, 1932 (Scott #723) and is tied to the cover by the Pole Station, "U.S. Navy Operation Deep Freeze" slogan cancel.
