Bill of Lading for a cargo of Hemp (used in making rope) written on October 26, 1831 and mailed from Boston, Massachusetts to the ship's chandler William Bowers in Providence, Rhode Island, (Red Boston Postmark dated October 27). The cargo is one ton of hemp on board the Schooner Sally Hope sailing from Boston to Providence. Captain Baker is the ship's master.
