The Grants Mills Post Office, (Cumberland Township, Providence County) was established on July 7, 1902 under Postmaster Jetson H. Kelly. It was disestablished on December 15, 1919 and mail was then handled through the Manville Post Office. the stamp is the 1 cent Benjamin Franklin blue/green issue of 1903, (Scott Nr. 300).

The Message reads: My dear Pauline, I was glad to get your letter but you must be more careful about your spelling. I shall probably be over after you either Sunday or Monday if Aunt C. will keep you so long. Lovingly Mother

The face of the card shows the Quaker Meeting House in Arnold Mills, RI.
